Jenny & Daryl

More information about this house sitter

Hello from Jenny and Daryl!
We're an active, easygoing and reliable couple (53 and 64) who genuinely love animals, travel, and experiencing new places at a relaxed pace. We are both very tidy, practical and responsible, and look after homes as though they were our own.
We are new to Mindahome, but are also actively on Trusted Housesitters, and previously on Housecarers. We've been lucky to have experienced housesits in the US, Europe and Australia since 2019.
Jenny works as an engineer (remotely) on environmental remediation projects across Australia, and also writes books.
Daryl is a semi-retired handyman who can turn his hand to just about anything, and is happy to help handle the things that help keep a home running smoothly. Prior to being a handyman, he was a dairy farmer, underground miner, and process plant operator, and has had experience with many animals large, small, wild and otherwise.
We sold our home in Canada in 2024 and have been based mostly in Noosa, Qld since that time, traveling overseas and within Australia frequently.
We enjoy long walks, exploring, good food, the outdoors and settling into the rhythm of wherever we happen to be.
