Hi, I’m John, a firefighter from the UK who’ll soon be starting an exciting new chapter in Australia on my second Working Holiday Visa.

Throughout my career, I’ve built my life around responsibility, trust and caring for others. As a firefighter, remaining calm under pressure, being dependable and treating people’s homes and possessions with the utmost respect are simply part of who I am. I understand that inviting someone into your home requires a huge amount of trust, and that’s never something I’d take for granted.

One of the biggest reasons I’ve chosen house sitting is because I genuinely love animals. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and there’s nothing I’d enjoy more than giving your pets the same love, attention and routine they’re used to while you’re away. Whether it’s long walks, adventures outdoors, playtime, cuddles on the sofa or simply keeping them company, I’ll make sure they’re happy, relaxed and well cared for.

I’m choosing house sitting because I think it’s one of the most rewarding ways to experience Australia. Rather than staying in hotels, I love the idea of becoming part of local communities, caring for wonderful homes and meeting incredible pets and their owners along the way. It feels like a much more meaningful way to travel, and I hope it’s the start of many lasting friendships.

I’m a non-smoker, clean, organised and respectful, and I take real pride in looking after both homes and animals as though they were my own. I’ll happily keep your home spotless, water plants, collect post and provide regular photo and video updates, so you can relax knowing everything is in safe hands.

Outside of work, I enjoy travelling, hiking, photography and keeping fit, so energetic dogs certainly won’t be short of walks or attention! My goal is simple: for you to return home to a house that’s exactly as you left it and pets that have been loved, cared for and thoroughly spoiled while you were away.
