Hi dear pet parents,

I am Ramona, a warm-hearted and reliable 30 year old non-smoker from Germany who loves taking care of animals. Last summer I quit my job as a resident doctor specialising in Psychosomatics and Psychotherapy and flew to Japan to join my sister on her work and travel year. Since December I am now based in Bangkok, Thailand, visiting family.

During my travels I have found pet and house sitting to be a wonderful opportunity to meet and especially be of help to local people, experience a city or country from a different perspective and share my love for animals (experience listed down below).

My next destination will be Perth from the end of March for a three week holiday visiting my partner Henry who lives and works in Perth. I/we will have time for shorter sittings around Perth from the 29th of March until the 13th of April.

Depending on the time of the sit my partner Henry would also be able to join the sit and help take care of your pets and home. He is also a big animal lover, and grew up with a dog and two cats. You can see him on some of the pictures I put on here.

MY EXPERIENCE:

In the last year I have gathered quite a bit of dog and house sitting experience. In Japan I pet sitted for friends and acquaintances who went on holiday or abroad and took care of their home and plants as well. During my stays it is most important to me that the animals feel loved and cared for, and that all their needs are met. I am very attentive and can adapt well to the different characters of each individual animal.

Here is an overview of the dogs I have sitted in Japan and the duration of the sits:

- 3 days: 13 year old Shih Tzu lady Shizue-san
- 3,5 months: 2,5 year old Akita/Shepard Mix and former street dog Lita
- 5 days: 7 months old French Bulldog Sabu-chan

Back home in Germany I have also sitted my friends cats and dogs, and walked dogs from the animal shelter. When I was in high school I regularly walked my neighbours dog (Golden Retriever) for about 2-3 years and we formed a close bond over time which led to my big love for dogs.

Concerning house/facilities - my partner and I are very tidy, clean and considerate people. It is important to us to take good care of your house as well and leave it cleaner than we received it.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask. I am more than happy to answer them all. I can understand that it can be difficult to trust your pet and house to a stranger. If you would like we can have a (video) call to get to know each other first. A meeting in person with me and my partner would be possible from the 27th of March on.

This is my first time using a website for pet and house sits, so I cannot offer online pet sitting references. But I’d be more than happy to send you references from former employers as well as references from friends I have sitted for.
