Hi dear pet parents and home owners,

I am Ramona, a warm-hearted, reliable and clean 30 year old non-smoking medical doctor from Germany who loves taking care of and spending time with animals. I quit my clinic job in the summer of 2023 to explore living on different parts of the globe. I have since lived in Japan and Thailand, and my current location is in Australia as my partner Henry is located here. Henry currently joins me on sits as he is able to work from home full-time for a couple of months. At the moment we are travelling in Tasmania doing house sits on the way :)

During my travels I have found pet and house sitting to be the perfect opportunity to meet and be of help to locals and share my big love for animals, while getting to live in a home far away from home. In Japan I have also gained experience in running and taking care of a small airbnb hostel, where at the same time me and my sister were sitting the house and the dog.

MY EXPERIENCE:

So far I have done seven wonderful pet and house sits, three during my travels in Japan last year, three in Perth this and last year and on in Tasmania just recently with very satisfied pet owners. Please see my reviews on this site and one in my photos from a private sit. I have experience with different dog breeds, small to large and young to old, as well as cats, chicken, rabbits and goats.

During my sits it is most important to me that the animals feel loved and cared for, and that all their needs are met. For you as a house and pet owner I aim to give you a peaceful and worry-free mind by sending you regular updates in the form of photos and texts. I am very attentive and can adapt well to the different characters of each individual animal. I love going for long walks and waking up early, so am very flexible to follow any daily walking routine.

From my experience working as a medical doctor I can keep calm and think clearly in emergencies, and am comfortable with administering all kinds of medication that your pets are needing.

Concerning my care for your house, facilities and plants - I am a very tidy, clean and considerate person. It is important to me to take the best care of your house as well and leave it cleaner than I received it. I will gladly follow any watering routine for your indoor and outdoor plants, and can do light work in the garden if necessary.

Furthermore, I work online and part-time, so I can stay home with your pet(s) as much as you wish for and they need me to be home. In my freetime you will find me searching for a nearby lake or the ocean to go for a swim, enjoying nature and exploring the neighbourhood or doing something creative.

If you have questions please feel free to contact me. I am more than happy to answer them. I can understand that it can be difficult to trust your pet and home to a stranger. If you would like we can have a (video) call to get to know each other first and also meet up in person if possible location-wise.
