I’m Lucía, 25 years old, from Barcelona, Spain. I’ve been living in Australia for almost a year, mostly in the Gold Coast and Broome. Back in Spain, I’m a pediatric and community nurse, and here in Australia I’ve been working as a nanny, taking care of children of all ages. Caring for others is part of who I am – whether it’s children or animals.

I also spent 5 months as an au pair in Caves Beach, NSW, living with a wonderful family who had a three-legged dog recovering from cancer. Looking after her was such a special experience, and it showed me how much love and care animals give back when you treat them gently and with patience.

For the past 2–3 months, I’ve been on a road trip around Australia, exploring different places and enjoying this amazing country. Now I’m excited to start housesitting as a way to feel at home while also helping others.

At home in Spain, I have pets that I miss a lot, so looking after animals here is something that truly makes me happy. In the Gold Coast, I lived in a house with a dog and two kittens, and I absolutely loved caring for them!

I’m vegetarian, responsible, tidy, and caring, and I’ll make sure your pets feel safe, loved, and well looked after while you’re away. You can feel at ease knowing your home and animals are in good hands.
