Hi there! We’re a Japanese and Irish couple in our mid-fifties who love animals, travelling and nature—especially the beach! We live on Sydney’s Lower North Shore, near beautiful Balmoral Beach.

I run a Japanese cooking school, and my husband runs an executive business coaching business.

We travel overseas quite often, both to explore new places and to visit our families, who live abroad. As much as we love travelling, overseas trips can be hectic! With busy working lives and a home in a bustling part of Sydney, we love escaping to the coast to slow down and switch off. A bit of walking, swimming, reading and spending time with lovely fur babies is our idea of a perfect break.

We both love cats and dogs and have a much-loved cat of our own. We understand how reassuring it is to know your pets are comfortable, loved and following their usual routines while you’re away. We’re happy to give them plenty of company, affection and care.

We’re early risers, so early breakfasts are no problem at all! Our own cat usually has his breakfast between 5 and 6 am, so we’re very familiar with those morning requests.

We’re a mature, sensible and tidy couple. We’re both non-smokers, rarely drink and aren’t party people—we enjoy a quiet, relaxed lifestyle.
