I am a semi-retired, animal loving wanderer and explorer at heart, who gets deep satisfaction from helping people by looking after their precious pets and home while they are away.

I am exploring stunning Australia, meeting a wide variety of really lovely people, and getting to hang out with the coolest animals.

I am a friendly, outgoing person who is fit and healthy and stay that way through good eating, gym, yoga, hiking and swimming. I don't smoke, may occasionally have the odd wine and live quietly with my fur angel Daisy, who is a rescued 6yo Papillon cross Terrier. We are both house trained, very tidy, don't shed, are regularly groomed and flea treated, de-sexed (Daisy, that is), and easy to get on with.

I have a very deep love for animals and have always been blessed to have one - often several, sharing my life and home. I have had dogs, cats, birds, fish, rodents, chickens and - vicariously through my daughter - horses.

I have lived in and looked after city apartments, suburban homes, and rural properties. I am a bit OCD with cleanliness and am super organised. I am a plant freak and have been known to have long, meaningful (if somewhat one-sided) conversations with them. My repertoire includes house plants, gardens and veggie gardens, I also have a lot of experience maintaining swimming pools.

I am on a journey of exploration around this beautiful country and very much enjoy meeting new people and spending time with a whole variety of new animal friends. I will love and look after your fur, feather, hairy, scaly and leafy babies and home as if they are my own.

I prefer to meet face-to-face with the people and/or animals I sit for, before the start date, to ensure we're a good match, particularly if it is a longer sit. If that isn't possible we can catch up by telephone or on Zoom.

My home base is with my daughter in Brisbane, and I house/pet sit in most areas of Queensland and New South Wales.

I can supply references, am identity verified, and have a current National Police Certificate, a copy of which I can provide. I am happy to undergo any other relevant vetting should it be required.

I also have my own car so transport is not an issue for the more remote locations. Read more...
