More information about this house sitter

I've been an unpaid carer for many years, to an elderly, disabled parent. I have taken lots of time off my natural health studies for this.

I have just enrolled to attempt to try another term, at uni again from mid May to late August 2026, but I have to be in Sydney for this, where I hope to do longer stay housesit (I'm looking on this & 2 other housesit sites).

(it's been 2 years since I was last able to study, due to mostly family stuff, mainly being a carer, this time I need to live in Sydney for a few months, instead of the 4.5 hour train trip each way, which I don't have time for & t's too stressful, since I'll be trying to help multiple real world clients, & not just theory or practice),

I have housesat, only once, so far, (with my mum). It was for a lovely lady (Jenny), in Queensland, for 3 weeks. The beautiful dog & cat, in one of my profile pictures here, is, Jenny's beautiful dog & cat, that I looked after whilst house sitting. (I was a bit too late writing a review unfortunately).

I hope to house sit my way through this term (part time study) & hopefully get some temp (a few hours / week) part time / weekend work too.

As a kid, I liked, but was afraid of all animals, until we got our own pet dog, who sadly passed away of old age several years ago (border collie, died at 15 or 16 years old).

I'm ok with cats too. Happy to feed fish.

As long as your pet is friendly, things should go well. I'm Happy to take the (small to medium sized) dog for a walk each day, as I get exercise & explore the area, and pet gets their walk outside.

I have also been on a hospitality website, for over 20 years now, where you could host, be hosted, or show people around your city & learn about cultures, (site isn't as good as it used to be & I'm not that active on there, since my area is much quieter now on the site, but i still sometimes meet new acquaintances & learn new things through the almost lost art of face to face conversation).
