Hi, I enjoy living in new locations and getting to know new people and their pets. It's very rewarding to do a house-sit, then hand over to the owners on their return and have both the owners and the pet pleased with my efforts.

The pets of the house are always my top priority and I always follow the owners instructions closely, as well as contacting them immediately if the pet is showing signs of being unwell. I am happy to provide regular updates and photos of pets and properties on a daily basis if required.

As the animal experience sections states, I am happy to look after any pets, be they furry, fish, or fowl. This includes larger animals such as goats, sheep, llama, etc as long as the fences are in good condition.

I am semi-retired and have been house sitting on and off for around 20 years and have done four house-sits so far this year. I have worked in construction, manufacturing and IT, so I am familiar with all kinds of house systems, maintenance equipment and systems. This includes swimming pools, reticulation, bores, lawn mowers, air conditioning, plumbing, computer networking and all sorts of tools. I even have experience with classic cars should there be a need to keep a battery charged, or to start an engine occasionally. This experience has helped me manage maintenance issues in the past without having to contact the owners or panic needlessly.

I am also an amateur photographer and it's always interesting to explore new locations and photograph them. I have been photographing since my early teens and I get great joy from wandering around with a camera and finding everyday subjects to capture.

I have often been told that I leave the house tidier than when I arrived and I would like the opportunity to do the same at your house. I am a non-smoker and don't drink alcohol.
