Hi, we’re Michaela and Nikos.
A friendly, easy-going, and down-to-earth couple. I’m Slovak, he’s Greek, and together we’re about to start our long awaited Work and Holiday adventure in Australia. We love discovering new places beyond the usual tourist trail and meeting the people (and pets!) who make them special.
Back home, my (Michaela’s) dog Kendy is being thoroughly spoiled by my family, so I have plenty of cuddles to give. So whether it’s keeping your pets happy, watering your plants, or simply making sure everything is just as you left it, we’re ready to take great care of your home while you’re away.

Our experience with dogs 🐕

Michaela’s family has rescued their dog Kendy 7 years ago and they have been spoiling him ever since.
While she lived at home she walked him daily, kept track of vet appointments, vaccinations, bought and cooked Kendy only high quality food, arranged his surgeries and physiotherapy when he needed them, and fashioned enrichment toys to keep his mind occupied during long work from home days. She’s altogether a fully qualified dog mom.

Nikos has grown up with dogs and cats all around. The greek villages are well known for having both roaming around freely. His family’s puppy Cleo was a family darling. Half wild half, half tame she came and went as she pleased but always found her way home. Unfortunately, she died when Nikos was still a child and even though his family never had another pet he has a weakness for dogs.


Our experience with cats 🐈‍⬛

Nikos has taken care of a cat that lived outside in his Athenian neighborhood all throughout his university years. He named her Phoebe, fed her, let her in on cold winter nights and played with her as much as she’d let him.
She was eventually adopted and we hope she found a loving home.

As a teenager, Michaela used to house sit and part of that was feeding and playing with a chunky gentleman named Chris during her summer school breaks.

P.S. Just a quick note about our profile address: it’s only temporary, as we’ll be staying at a hostel for a few nights after arriving in Australia before finding our feet. 🙂 Read more...
