Hi Mindahome families,

My name is Lauren, an entertainer extraordinaire, and of course animal lover with a sense of adventure. Last year I spent much of the year travelling the world as a missionary working with people of different cultures. This year I moved to a small regional town, and was living there for 9 months. At the moment I am just working remotely house sitting as much as I can while I figure out where is next.

Ever since I was a child I have loved animals. We had everything from rabbits and hampsters (I was born in South Africa) to dogs, cats and birds. My family used to breed border collies so I grew up with animals. I had a cat (seen first on my profile) for pretty much most of my childhood from pre- teens till when I was 26. The first dog pictured is "Daisy," a gorgeous Labrador that I looked after for Kirra. Such a sweetie! And the second dog is "Darna", who I loved going for runs with. She was such high energy :)

I have done many house sitting jobs over the last 15+ years, working with lots of different animals, and having one of my own that lives with my family when I'm not house sitting. Recently I was living on a farm looking after a range of pets, even including hand feeding a newly born kid (goat) and being there for the birthing of some newborn puppies. Isn't new life so wonderful?!

I am a non-smoker, and I will treat your home and your animals like mine- with respect and love, and of course if they are happy, lots of cuddles thrown in too!
