Hi, I’m Lou. I am an energetic and friendly women of 51 (I know, I can’t believe it either) whose nuts about travel and adventure. When I’m not out camping in my excellent van, you can find me down the paddock on my property hacking away at rogue bamboo, making something silly to wear in my sewing studio or daydreaming about what I would do if I won the lotto! I generally find it hard to stay put for too long which my excellent family seem to accommodate quite well. I am fastidiously clean and organised, adore animals (unfortunately our lovely big mutt Sam passed last June - still recovering ❤️‍🩹) and am 100pc committed to looking after your home, your precious furry and feathered family and making sure you return home to a clean and tidy house and garden, happy pets and maybe even a freshly baked cake on the kitchen bench? I work as a secondary teacher doing the fun stuff - food and textiles - and I’m equally content in the city or in the country, in a tent or a palace but mostly I just enjoy exploring new places, preferably with a dog by my side. I have done a few housesitting gigs, in North Queensland, NZ and in a Portuguese hill fort, (yes that was pretty damn amazing) so this is not a novel experience for me but I’m usually quite happy to do most of my East Coast Australia based travel in my camper. Our home is 4 acres in the Noosa Hinterland. I grew up on a pineapple farm with lots of animals so I have loads of practical skills which I think is my greatest superpower. My photos show our family of 3, our late beloved dog Sam, my son adopting every street cat he came across on a recent holiday in Lombok and me at work (centre) with my amazing colleagues.
