I'm Nathan from the Netherlands. I grew up with a cat (Quincy) and a dog (Djay), both are sadly no longer here. This year I lost Djay who was 16 years old. A kooiker hondje.

I work for the government & a healthcare company and before work took over my life, I also did volunteer work, I worked at the local Animal Ambulance where we pick up and help animals in need. My volunteer work consisted of me answering phones, catching animals, driving them to help centres / the vet, or feed them if needed. Most animals we helped were cats, hedgehogs and birds. Occasionally a snake got loose, fun times.

For the animal volunteering & healthcare job, I needed to get a Certificate of Conduct based on health (children, animals, adults), and for my government job I needed the second highest Certificate of Conduct from the Department of Justice.

I pet sit for:
My oldest sister she has a Rottweiler named Loes with heart conditions. She loves everyone. Her cat Snoesje with eye problems. She loves to lay on my head. Her rescue dog Charlie from Greece who loves to cuddle.
My cousin who has an energetic French Bulldog (Gijs) who tries to hit and run cyclists.
My friend of 30 years who has three cats named Ducky, Murphy, and Tasty. All three find the most impossible spot on your bed.
My other sister who has a parakeet named Kiwi who is quiet until you are on the phone.

Safe to say that I'm an animal lover.

I'll come to Australia on a WHV in April 2026, and I'm happy to petsit/housesit. I'm m not looking for a job, but to live off my savings as I take a year off from work.

I don't smoke or drink. I'm an introvert who loves to read, swim and hike.

I'm okay with petsitting, cleaning, gardening and other things you might need help with. I'd treat it as my own home & take full responsibility. Read more...
