Hi, I’m Lauren, a reliable 43-year-old house sitter with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal and Veterinary Biosciences, a background as a veterinary nurse, and experience as a qualified chef. This combination has given me a strong understanding of animal health, behaviour, and care, along with a high standard of cleanliness, organisation, and attention to detail. I am new to 'Mindahome', however working as a chef at venues including Point Leo Estate has shaped my pride in maintaining a home environment to a very high standard, and I would like to provide my assurance that I will carry that same approach into every house sit—ensuring your home is clean, secure, organised, and well cared for.
I now own and manage a commercial kitchen for hire on the Mornington Peninsula, which I’m fortunate to be able to manage largely remotely. This allows me to be consistently present and attentive throughout each house sit. I’ve been connected to the Mornington Peninsula for over twenty-five years and know the area very well.
I value integrity and transparency, and I feel it’s important to share that following a difficult separation, I am currently seeking house-sitting opportunities on or near the southern Mornington Peninsula so I can be closer to my two children, who live in McCrae with their father. Being nearby allows me to spend more meaningful time with them and be more involved in their lives. While this is a personal motivation, it also means I am genuinely committed to securing ongoing house-sitting opportunities in the area and building trusted, repeat arrangements.
You can be assured that I will treat your home with the utmost care and respect, as if it were my own. I may be accompanied, with your approval, by my two well-mannered, independent (and admittedly good-looking) teenagers, and occasionally my well-trained young Staffy, Lunar.
I am confident in all aspects of pet care, including administering medication and maintaining routines. I’m also a keen dog walker and very happy to ensure your pets are exercised and well cared for according to their needs.
