I've owned a house and a unit so understand how much time, money and effort you've invested in your home. I've also cared for my own pets and those of family and friends, including cats, dogs (from tiny terriers to border collies, kelpies and staffies), fish, chickens, ducks, sheep and goats. I know animals are treasured family members and deserve as much love, care and companionship as they provide. House sitting gives me a break from travelling in my campervan and a chance to stay put for a bit, relax, write and explore a new community (and enjoy a few extra home comforts like a toaster, kettle, real bed and lounge again). I'm clean, tidy and handy around the house and yard. I've maintained my own pool as well as at housesits in Queensland and NSW over many years. I am comfortable with mowing and basic garden maintenance, watering and routine jobs to keep things shipshape while you're away. Ideally I'd have plenty of time to read, write and draw as well so quiet neighbourhoods are preferred. I love the peace of nature so anywhere near forests or water would be a bonus. I prefer month sits or longer but am open to all offers. Non-smoker and only light social drinker. Excellent references available and police check if required. Read more...
