Hiya! I'm Mallory (Mal) -- a free surfer, yogi, and jack-of-all-trades who is coming to explore the epic surf meccas along the east coast of this fantastic slice of heaven called Australia! I originally hail from then outskirts of NYC and hold an array of studies and experience within the humanitarian, medical, hospitality, wellness and nonprofit industries. I bring over 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry/ CX industries, and also have years of experience within childcare, media, cooking, housekeeping, and diverse international volunteering opportunities in teaching, sustainability, surf media, and much more. I'm currently unemployed, so I am fully committed to caring for your home and any additional needs like pet and services, and will ensure a responsible and safe experience in this wonderful exchange. I'm a proactive and intuitive person, and bring high levels of enthusiasm and care to every job, exchange or volunteer opportunity I engage in.

My sole intentions are to support your housesitting needs positively and safely while enjoying the opportunity of exploring new neighborhoods and coastal towns, understand the Australia way of life and culture, and find meaningful connection with waterpeople all over. Through these opportunities, I hope it will allow me to find what will be my new "home" while I continue my WHV here in Australia! I greatly enjoy the flexibility of these arrangements and even more so that they are equally beneficial for both the homeowner and the sitter. In my free time outside of chasing perfect longboard waves, I enjoy yoga, ceramics, collaging, reading, learning Bahasa Indonesia and hunting for the best iced latte in town! :) I never let myself get too bored.

I plan on getting a vehicle as soon as I enter the country, but depending on my search I may not have a vehicle ready to go. Regardless, I would absolutely be able to get to your location and would appreciate the availability of a car if this is an option within the arrangement. Housesitting opportunities near the beach are a huge bonus and of special attraction to me for this reason!
