I'm a mature, calm, and organised solo house sitter originally from Sydney, currently house and pet sitting along Australia's east coast. I have a background in Business and IT project management, so I'm detail oriented, good at following or creating instructions, and used to managing routines and schedules; and since Covid I have worked in disability and aged care, so I am terrific at being observant and looking after whatever needs looking after.

I'm a repeat sitter for a Sydney foster cat shelter (17+ cats), and I have extensive experience caring for cats, birds (including chickens), reptiles and fish. I'm comfortable with feeding routines, medications, basic vet visits, and giving pets plenty of attention, exercise and mental stimulation. I kept chickens myself for over 10 years and have always had many pets of one kind or another, especially cats.

I also have live-in high end housekeeping experience, so I'm used to keeping a home clean, tidy and well-managed for extended periods. I'm experienced with pool care and basic garden maintenance. I'm a non-smoker with no pets of my own, no dependents to call me away at short notice, and I don't host visitors or parties — your home stays peaceful and secure. I'm comfortable with vegetarian and vegan households, having been vegetarian myself for over 10 years in the past.

I'm an active person who enjoys reading, gardening, spending time at the beach, walking, and dabbling in watercolour painting. I treat every property with respect, and I'm happy to check in with updates or photos as often as you like. I typically sit for 2 weeks to 3 months at a time, and I prefer longer sits so I can settle in and feel like a local. I have a small reliable car. Read more...
