I’ve spent most of my life living and working on properties, so caring for animals and looking after a place comes pretty naturally to me.

For much of my working life I’ve been trusted to look after other people’s properties and livestock, and along the way I’ve always had working dogs and horses as part of my life. I’m very comfortable around animals, big or small, and enjoy having them around. I understand their routines and also know how important it is to notice the little things when something doesn’t seem quite right.

I enjoy being outdoors and love gardening, so I’m very happy pottering around the garden, watering plants and keeping things ticking along while you’re away. I’m practical and fairly hands-on, and after years of living and working on properties I’m used to dealing with the little things that inevitably crop up.

I’m clean and tidy, but pretty easy-going, and I’d treat your home and belongings with the same care and respect I’d want someone to give mine.

For me, house and pet sitting feels like a natural extension of what I’ve done for most of my life — caring for other people’s places and animals and leaving things well looked after.

I’m at a stage where I’d like to see a few different parts of the country, meet some lovely animals (and people!) and enjoy a change of scenery along the way. Read more...
