More information about this house sitter

Currently I'm looking for housesitting positions to have the opportunity to take care of animals in need and or to experience/explore different locations in Australia (starting with NSW and possible ACT). Would love to find housesitting in the Blue Mountains or Coffs Harbour/Sawtell area so I can spend more time with family that live in those areas, but having said that I’m open to going to any area within NSW that has easy access to public transport and within walking distance of shops/supermarkets (as I get around with a walking stick from an old diving accident and I’m not able to drive).

After my dog passed away from old age in 2012 I've had the joy of looking after several people’s pets including dogs (breeds I've cared for so far are: mini fox terrier, jack russell, pug, mini poodle and kelpie), cats, parrots and chickens in their homes and in mine. I've been vegan for 30 years and I love caring for animals but am not in a position to have pets of my own. 

Due to getting around with a walking stick, I’d only be able to care for one dog at a time and as many cats/birds/chickens as needed.

Through my experience of caring for other’s pets (and in the past my own) I understand that a pet owner knows their pets better than anyone and I will always follow your instructions. I've got experience giving medication to pets when needed and I’ll always put your pets needs first. Also, I’ll keep your home clean and tidy and will care for it better than if it was my own and will follow all your instructions in relation to caring for your home.
