I’ve recently moved to Queensland to be closer to my adult children, with my daughters living around Brisbane and the Gold Coast. I’m planning to house sit around these areas over the next few years, which gives me the flexibility to stay near my family while getting to know different parts of Queensland.

I’m originally from the UK and also lived in New Zealand for 20 years. I’ve worked in education for most of my career, including working for the New Zealand Ministry of Education, and I am also a registered teacher in Queensland and Victoria. I now work online, so I spend a good amount of time at home.

I’m independent, reliable and very respectful of other people’s homes. I enjoy walking, the beach, coffee, reading and exploring locally, but I’m equally happy having a quiet day at home.

When I’m house sitting, I know I’m stepping into someone else’s home and, most importantly, their pets’ world. I’m happy to follow their normal routines, give them plenty of company and attention, and make sure home feels as normal as possible while their owners are away.

For extra reassurance, I can provide my Queensland/Victoria teacher registration, driver's licence, as well as my DBS check and ACRO and NZ police check, and I’m very happy to have a phone or video chat before a sit. Read more...
