Hello we're Pat and Kate.

We're a mother-and-daughter house-sitting team who love travelling, meeting new people, exploring new places, and, most of all, spending time with animals. We both understand that inviting someone into your home to care for your pets is a big decision, and we want you to feel completely comfortable knowing that your pets and home are in caring, responsible, and trustworthy hands.

Pat is retired and has a background in banking and government customer service. She worked as a bank manager before moving into customer service within the government sector, where she enjoyed helping and supporting people. Pat is calm, caring, organised, reliable, and takes pride in doing things properly and will undertake light gardening if required.

Kate is an Occupational Therapist and can work from home, giving her plenty of flexibility and time to spend with pets. She has fostered cats in both Australia and Abu Dhabi and has always had a huge love for animals. Like Pat, Kate is responsible, gentle, attentive, and understands how important it is for pets to feel safe, settled, and loved in their own home.

We're both non-smokers, have reliable transport, and value honesty, clear and speedy communication, reliability, and treating people, pets, and their homes with genuine respect.

Animals have always been a very important part of both our lives. We shared 21 wonderful years with our beloved black cat, Fruitbat, who was a very special part of our family. Losing such a much-loved companion really showed us just how deep the bond between people and their pets can be.

Between us, we've cared for dogs, cats, fish, and birds and have house-sat for friends, family, and friends of family in both Australia and the UK. We know that every pet is different, with their own personality, routine, likes, dislikes, and little quirks.

We take the time to learn what's important to each pet and follow their normal routine as closely as possible. Whether they need daily walks, playtime, cuddles, companionship, feeding at particular times, medication, or simply someone nearby to make them feel secure, we'll make sure they receive the care and attention they're accustomed to.

We also take great pride in looking after the homes we stay in. We keep things clean, tidy, secure, and well cared for, and treat every home with the same respect we would give our own.

Friends often joke that they return home to find it cleaner than when they left!

We understand that house sitting isn't just about looking after pets, it's about looking after someone's home, belongings, routines, and the things that matter to them.

We know it's reassuring to receive updates when you're away, so we're happy to send regular messages, photos, and updates about how your pets are doing. Our aim is for you to be able to enjoy your time away knowing that everything at home is being looked after.

We're happy to follow your instructions carefully and will always communicate openly if anything unexpected comes up.
