Hello! I’m a mature, responsible, caring individual, 45 years old, based in Launceston, Tasmania, currently looking for house and pet sitting while I search for a property of my own. As an experienced former homeowner and lifelong animal lover, I understand how important it is to find someone you can truly trust to care for your home, pets, and property.

I have prior house and pet sitting experience, including a previous sit on a rural Tasmanian property, where I cared for the home and garden, ensured property security, maintained vegetable patches, and tended to a variety of beloved animals - two beautiful cats, a rabbit, a pet sheep, a feisty little guinea pig, chickens, and a rooster. I even helped welcome and support visiting Hipcamp guests staying in their caravans at one of the properties, and ended up pet sitting for some of them as well! More recently I completed two sits for a beautiful family on their 80 hectare rural property, caring for their shy cat and absolutely adorable dog, and keeping an eye on a flock of Dorper sheep.

My love for animals runs deep - I’ve owned and cared for various breeds of dogs, cats, birds, guinea pigs, farm animals, including caring for wildlife, and I have a long-standing commitment to animal rescue. I’m comfortable with nearly any type of animal, and I’m proactive, observant, and knowledgeable about their wellbeing. Safety, companionship, and comfort for your pets are always my top priority.

I work from home the majority of the time, ensuring a consistent presence at your property. This means your pets will enjoy company, walks, playtime, and consistent, attentive care throughout the day.

I’m physically active, outdoorsy, a non-smoker, and take pride in being clean, tidy, and respectful in any home. I also bring practical experience with garden care, lawn maintenance, pool upkeep, and indoor plant care. Being a former homeowner myself, I naturally treat every space with the same care and consideration as my own.

I’m happy to collect mail, assist with calls or messages, water gardens, do minor maintenance, or help with any other tasks to keep things running smoothly in your absence. I’m also very security-conscious and reliable, with my own transport and flexibility to attend vet visits or collect supplies as needed.
