Hello!

I'm Ocean, a seasoned house sitter, back in action after many years' hiatus! I have strong skills in pool and grounds maintenance, a wonderful track record, and a heart for every animal. 🐾❤️

I work remotely part-time for a beautiful charity in a fulfilling job, working as a grantwriter. This allows me to roam free, and experience new places in Australia - which is a unique opportunity! Animal companionship of course is a big plus, and lots of adventures can ensue.

In 2017, I did housesitting all throughout NSW. I met so many beautiful furry friends, discovered spectacular new places along the coastline, and all-in-all, made some great memories. A stand-out was a home on the Hawkesbury River that was reachable only by boat - so I learnt how to boat!

Now in 2026 and beyond, I'm travelling all of Australia to see where my adventures take me. I've looked after some beautiful houses and properties, and I take pride in keeping a great track record of responsibility and care.

As an experienced house and pet sitter, I know what matters to homeowners - it's to keep everything running as usual, exactly how you like - including loved ones at home feeling safe and living life as normal. I'll be their family away from family.

I'm very detail-oriented, and have my own a reminder system for any daily feeding, walking, medication, maintenance, etc. I always do a great job of keeping you updated while you're away, so you can have peace of mind. In the past, I've often had requests to come back.

I'm also very experienced with rural living and organic vege patch maintenance - I have lots of backyard gardening experience, and always love getting outside to get that sun and nature time.

A central thing about me is that I'm into organic food, natural and environmental living, and alternative / natural health. I love to keep my body clean, and to minimise exposure to toxic chemicals, alcohol, smoke, drugs, etc. I make an epic superfood smoothie every morning. (More powders than I can keep up with.)

My remote job is absolutely perfect for reliable house and farm sitting. During my work day, I take mini breaks to rest my eyes. Perfect for some TLC time with pets, maintenance, etc!

P.S. a unique perk I offer is that I am a pool and spa guru. I can keep your pool and/or spa in tip-top shape, and know what to do if problems arise. I have experience with both chlorine and alternative water chemistry solutions, and can give tips to optimise yours if I notice anything.

𝗣𝗲𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲

I'm a seasoned cat and dog sitter, and love taking care of both. I've also looked after other companions - from guinea pigs to galahs.

I love the and energy and companionship of dogs. I grew up with border collie/kelpie farm dogs myself, and I love all breeds. I enjoy walking outdoors, and I'm physically strong, so I can meet any large dog's needs and keep them happy and healthy every day. For those who need extra cuddles, that's never a chore - that's a bonus!

I also grew up with a mighty farm cat, who was like my big sister. I love cats and their different sensibility. I love being patient and sensitive to their needs, and making them feel safe. They all have wonderfully unique personalities, and that's always fun.

𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗺 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲

From my many rural adventures, I have large-property mowing skills - ride-ons, including zero-turns, and even tractor slashers. I'm a mighty pro with a whipper snipper, and love doing fine work on a lawn. I can also do chainsawing. I'm an efficient yet careful mower, and know what to look out for to try, to minimise maintenance downtime situations.

I myself grew up in a rural area on a farm, and I love growing organic fruit and veg! 🍑 🥬 🪏

I have a fair amount of experience taking care of sheep, goats, cows, chooks, and ducks - and most importantly, I love learning, have a can-do attitude, and have a default mindset of responsibility and care. I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty! 🥾 I bring gumboots everywhere I go. Read more...
