More information about this house sitter

Hi,

Thanks for reading my profile.

My name is Rob, and I'm a 67-year-old guy living part-time in my home in the Peel region.

I'm looking for house/unit/farm sits of at least a month duration, and I'm available to sit from July 1st, 2026, although I'm happy to chat about sits any time after May 1st.

I have plenty of experience with a wide range of domestic pets and farm animals, from goldfish to horses and everything in between.

I'm a very clean and tidy person and enjoy managing a home the same way.

I was a stay-at-home Dad for three decades while we raised our family and built our mud brick off-grid home in central Victoria. This involved a lot of 'farm'-type work and familiarity with chainsaws, slashers, etc, etc. I completed all parts of the house build, including low-voltage power, gas, water, etc.

During our time in central Victoria, I worked as a secondary school science teacher, builder, trades assistant, tutor, aged carer, agricultural scientist, swimming instructor, and gourmet food manufacturer. I also studied several degrees in science and education, culminating in a Master of Science in astronomy and a year of PhD coursework.

I came back to WA in 2012, became a JP and cared for my now deceased parents.

I have no pets, I don't smoke or drink, and I don’t “party”. :)

I prefer my own company and a quiet environment, and will have no visitors of my own. Of course, I’m very happy to socialise with your relatives, friends or neighbours if that’s the case!

I look forward to chatting with you.

Warm regards,
Rob
