Hello my name is Sarah :) I am very happy to be here on Mindahome. I have enjoyed many house sits caring for pets, gardens, and homes, and have been house sitting since October 2017 with many repeat house sits.

It's my great pleasure to help home and pet owners so that they can travel and feel relaxed knowing that their pets are being given lots of love, care, and attention, and their home and garden are being well looked after while they are away.

I highly value the trust that homeowners place in me with each house-sitting position, and am attentive and adaptable, with a wealth of experience.

For each house sit, I look after the home, pets, and gardens as if they were my own. I provide high levels of care and kindness, and enjoy creating a gentle and happy environment.

I have a mature and responsible attitude, and enjoy maintaining high standards of assistance. I am proactive with pet's well-being and health, including giving medication, and am comfortable with taking them to the vet, if needed.

I adore pets, and grew up with cats, and really enjoy getting to know their personalities, chatting with them, and having their company. I also find dogs are wonderful company, and particularly enjoy being with those that are relaxed and calm.

Owners have commented that their pets seem to gravitate towards me, and this often also happens with pets who are timid, and who usually don't easily approach new people. From cats to dogs, and also horses, sheep, chickens, and fish, I have enjoyed getting to know many lovely pets.

I am an experienced gardener and enjoy caring for plants inside and out, and veggie gardens including seedling. I am also good with regular and ride-on mowers, and maintaining pools.

I also enjoy rural locations, and am comfortable with horses and farm animals (thanks to having a little hobby farm in the Adelaide Hills for several years) and am a good handy-person around the house and property.

Great internet and mobile coverage is important at house sits, and I prefer longer house sits between 2 weeks to several months - and sometimes a shorter house sit can be perfect as well. I particularly enjoy house sits in peaceful locations and love to have gardens and nature around.

I mentor, guide, and assist clients with phone and online consultations, and write. Meditation and yoga help my writing, and having pets for company adds to the enjoyment. It's wonderful how house sitting and caring for pets and homes combines so well with my work:)

I am so grateful that house sitting also enables me to spend time visiting my children. They are both happy and gentle souls as well, and love nature, and it is wonderful to be close to them from time to time.
