Professionally, I am a marketing and communications specialist. But personally, I am a wandering spirit with a love of the wilderness, wildlife, sailing and photography.

When travelling, I prefer to drive the slow road and take time to enjoy getting to know an area... rather than rushing from place to place. I am currently enjoying an extended stay exploring the beauty of Kangaroo Island.

I am new to this highly organised form of house sitting. But over the years I have cared for the homes and pets of family, friends and friends-of-friends. This ranges from suburban homes with domestic pets, through to helping out on a ram stud farm and with agisted cattle.

My love of animals began during my childhood when I helped dad with his extensive collection of Australian parrots and finches. I also had responsibility for our family cat called Tiger... who had such a gentle and placid nature that it might have been more appropriate to name him Sloth.

Since then, I have had the pleasure of blending my love for animals into my working life. I spent a number of years working at Taronga Zoo where I had many up-close-and-personal encounters with both native and exotic wildlife.
