We are a family of three who enjoy a quiet, creative and outdoors-oriented life. We spend much of our time exploring nature, reading, making things and enjoying simple time together.

Animals have always been part of our lives. Lachlan grew up caring for dogs, cats, horses, chickens and ducks, and has lived on acreage properties at different times throughout his life. These experiences have given him a practical understanding of caring for animals and the rhythms of living on a larger property. Our daughter is also growing up with animals as part of her world and has learned to approach them with patience and respect.

Lachlan currently works in heritage conservation and has previously worked as a teacher. Tanya works part-time in learning support while completing studies in visual arts, and has a background in outdoor education. We both enjoy working in areas that involve care, creativity and connection with the world around us.

As a family, we value living thoughtfully and respectfully. We appreciate the trust involved in looking after someone else's home and animals, and we would approach that responsibility with care and attention.

Although we do not currently have a pet of our own, we enjoy the opportunity to spend time with animals and get to know their individual personalities and routines. Read more...
