More information about this house sitter

Howdy! I’m a Texas native with a deep appreciation for both the rural and the global. I spent much of my childhood on my grandparents’ farm, where I learned the value of hard work, compassion for animals, and a love for nature while feeding chickens, goats, and cows alongside my grandpa. I’m currently traveling and missing my two cats, Ziggy and Nori, more than I expected. Being thousands of miles away from them has reminded me of how much I appreciate and value being around animals. I would love the opportunity to look after someone else’s fur babies while I’m away from mine, and in doing so, I hope to fill the void I’ve been feeling.

After spending several months living in hostels, I’ve grown to appreciate the comfort, privacy, and hominess of a personal space. House sitting would give me the chance to enjoy a peaceful, quiet environment, while also caring for pets as if they were my own. I’m responsible, loving, and always happy to help provide peace of mind to pet owners while they’re away.

I have a solid background in pet care and house sitting, gained through both formal and informal experiences. In college, I worked as a dog walker through the app Wag!, where I cared for dogs of varying breeds and sizes, learning how to manage different temperaments and provide individualized care. Additionally, I’ve regularly house- and pet-sat for family members, ranging from overnight stays to daily check-ins.

I take pride in maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and security of the home while giving pets the care and attention they deserve. Some of the pets I've pet-sat for were anxiety-prone and/or have had chronic health conditions, requiring me to monitor them closely and administer their medications on time. I also have a cat with Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD), who is on a special prescription diet and is sensitive to stress. In addition, I have experience with socializing feral cats. I understand the importance of helping them feel secure and reading body language/behavioral cues before approaching them.

Because I understand how nerve-wracking it can be to invite a stranger into your home, I am committed to building trust with both you and your pets. I will do everything I can to make your pets feel comfortable and safe in my care, ensuring they receive the love and attention they need while you’re away.
