Hi, We are Rob and Mirianna, early 50's (getting close to mid range), kiwis and empty nesters.

We have been housesitting full time since Feb 19 in Perth, Canberra and Sydney and have housesat off and on over the last four years mainly in NZ. We love the lifestyle, we get to meet wonderful homeowners, live in different communities and take care of furbabies.

Why we housesit: A life changing event made us creatively rethink our empty nester plans of travel and learning all facets of dance (ballroom, tango, rock n roll, line dancing). Rob's stroke 7 years ago put a hold on some things (dancing, although we do have rhythm) and housesitting lets us travel and look after lovely homes and gorgeous pets.

We have looked after big homes/units/townhouses, swimming pools, large sections, gardens, cats, dogs, chickens, guinea pigs, birds and even trout. Our longest sit was 12 months, our shortest one week. We will give your home, property and pets the respect and care required and will follow all your instructions.

We have police clearances, great reviews and for longer sits (8+ weeks) we can even provide verbal references.

My job history is within the H&S sector and Rob was a volunteer fireman for 10 years in NZ. You can be assured that with the current pandemic we are taking excellent care of our health and following the coronavirus health guidelines.

As a couple and a team for 37 years, our skill set compliments each other, we have worked hard, put our two girls through one of the top private NZ boarding schools, owned 5 homes in our time, been tenants and landlords.

We have owned the most lovable of pets: cats, dogs, billy goat, lambs, chickens, bunny rabbit and piglets - most of them strays or rescue. Our daughter is taking care of our 17 year old cat 'Kenny Rogers" although we think she has secretly claimed him.

We would feel privileged to house-sit your pets and home, and we bring honesty, confidentiality, integrity, respect, trustworthiness and we are exceptionally clean and tidy. Most importantly, we will be generous with love and cuddles of your pets.
