We are a quiet, competent Australian couple - a retired ex-teacher and a former bank clerk, with almost 3 years’ house sitting experience in QLD and NSW. Punctual and reliable, we enjoy our duties and we are very considerate towards our hosts, their property and their pets.

We married in Adelaide 35 years ago and our adult son is now a qualified pastry chef. For the past 13 years we have both worked in hospitality.

We have cared for many dog breeds, such as Labrador, Husky, Kelpie, Blue Heeler, Staffy, Bulldog, Cocker Spaniel, Toy Poodle, Cavoodle and others, as well as some much-loved cats. We follow owners' instructions and we understand they may feel anxious about leaving their pets behind, so providing regular updates and photos is no trouble at all.

Both of us are fit and in good health and we don't have vices (alcohol,drugs,etc). That is why in 2016 we have been trusted to act as caretakers for Golfe Hotel, a lovely hotel in France, where Ligia was initially hired as a pastry sous chef. In 2018 we were the managers of Cronulla Motor Inn (Sydney), where we got excellent marks for cleanliness and facilities' upkeep by Star Ratings.(references are available on request).

We love keeping the pets company and we keep the house very neat and tidy. We are competent and experienced in emergencies, keeping calm and solving problems.

We have been fortunate in that house sitting has given us the opportunity to travel and enjoy more of Australia. Read more...
