I have completed dozens of house- and pet-sitting assignments for diplomats and high-profile families in Canberra and Perth, ranging from six months to 3 years. Yes, I treat each one as a job, not a holiday, though the settings occasionally try to convince me otherwise. I understand discretion, consistency and how to keep life running smoothly without fanfare.
I am happily single and live a quiet, clean, non-smoking, non-drinking lifestyle with steady routines and low drama. Think peaceful energy, tidy spaces and someone who knows bin night without needing a reminder. I am resourceful and adaptable. I notice the little things before they become big things. A strange sound. A droopy fern. A missed delivery. An overconfident ant invasion.
I care for your home, pets and garden as if they were my own. Possibly better, truth be told. I do not own a dog who digs up roses or a cat with a personal grudge against curtains. Pets receive company, affection, meals and conversation. Yes, I will talk to them. I am also familiar with administering basic medication and arranging vet visits or check-ups when required. Plants receive water, sunlight and encouragement. Your home stays secure, clean and respectfully maintained.
My work offers (WFH) flexibility, hence, mostly I work from home, which means pets and plants receive companionship for much of the day rather than staring dramatically out the window waiting for humans.
I hold top-level government security clearance, so in pet terms I’m fully vetted, and in human terms I’m trusted with your privacy, your home and the boss of the house.
You may also return to a calm house, a happy pet and a simple home-cooked meal waiting for you. Nothing extravagant. Something warm, thoughtful and made with care.
