Late 50s resourceful and reliable woman. I have taken a career break to spend time with friends and family on the other side of the country. Home has been Perth for some time and I lived in Melbourne for 24 years before that. Love travel, exploring, keeping fit and camping with my Subaru Outback. I am a keen baker and love a good jigsaw or crossword puzzle.
Taking some time off also allows me to volunteer in the communities where I find myself.
I spent winter 2025 cat and housesitting for a couple in Birregurra and helping the local Landcare branch. I looked after Simba who is an indoor cat unless on a lead. I enjoyed keeping her entertained. Responsibilities also were flea treatments, litter tray cleaning and claw clipping. Also carried out some minor repairs.
I haven't had a my own cat for several years so housesitting is a way I can enjoy the pleasure of a cat's company.
I'm happy to do garden maintenance where required and pride myself on leaving a place cleaner than when I arrived.
I'm now in St Helens housesitting for several months and love being in Tasmania.
Available as a single or a pair with Colin who is early 60s, a retired geologist and avid astrophotographer. Colin and I have known each other for 25 years.

We are both non smokers, no children or pets so can be devoted to your pets and home. I believe in communicating regularly so that you can feel secure that your housesit will be handled professionally and honestly. I/we tend to be homebodies and not go out of an evening and will be pleased to care for your pet whatever their routine and needs are.
Very comfortable looking after cats, chickens and other small animals. Very limited experience with dogs or livestock.
Whilst my 2 house sits this year have been outside this platform the owners are happy to provide references by phone/Zoom etc. The current housesit is a repeat from last year that Colin did on his own and this year we are sharing it for a good portion of the 6 months. Read more...
