Hello, I’m Martin — a friendly, reliable, and experienced house sitter in my 60s.
As a retired homeowner, I know firsthand how much trust is involved in leaving your home and animals in someone else’s care. I take that responsibility seriously and always aim to provide complete peace of mind while you’re away.
I’ve been around animals my whole life, from childhood through to adulthood, and have cared for a variety of pets including dogs, cats, and other household companions. I’m comfortable adapting to different routines and personalities — whether that’s energetic walks, quiet company, or sticking closely to established feeding and care schedules.
At home, I’ve managed a property with both a swimming pool and a garden, so I’m more than happy to take care of the practical side of things too — keeping everything clean, watered, and running smoothly. I’m a non-smoker and tidy by nature. I treat every home with the same respect I give my own.
One of the things I really enjoy about house sitting is the chance to spend a bit longer in new places and get a genuine feel for a location. I prefer this slower, more meaningful way of travelling — settling in, exploring the area, and becoming part of the day-to-day rhythm of a neighbourhood.
