About this house sitting position in Alexander Heights

This is a pet and house minding opportunity for most of December 2026. We are located in a Perth Northern suburb, about 17km from the city and 10km from the beaches.

We have 4 Bedroom (1 bedroom used as an Office), 2 Bathroom house with double carport/garage located in a cul de sac. Behind the two remote garage doors is a large patio area that extends from the side and around to the back. Our cars and bikes will remain at the house and be parked behind the garage doors, so there will only be space to park cars in the driveway.

There is an automatic water reticulation system that should take care of the watering of gardens and lawns, but extra watering may be needed for potted plants under the rear patio. In the event of a long hot dry spell, it would be much appreciated if the potted plants under the rear patio, as well as plants near the back fence are watered manually with the hose.

Inside, there is both a ducted evaporative water cooling system that caters for the whole house and a reverse cycle air conditioner for the family and kitchen rooms. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave, air fryer, induction cooktop and oven. There is a washing machine and dryer in the laundry.

Pets:
We have two short hair pure white sister cats, Smudge nd Ghost, who are 7 years old and last vaccinated in Jan 2026. They are beautiful pets and basically own the house and let you know when they want to be fed. We have recently modified their diet and quantity of food due to their putting on a bit too much weight, and have seen some good results over the last month. They are easy to look after and very affectionate. Smudge thinks she is human and is the curious one who investigates everything new. Ghost is more cat-like and sleeps more during the day, but is the demanding one when its food time. They generally like to be outside during the day, especially Smudge, but stay mostly under the patio or sometimes venture to neighbour houses. At night after dinner, we try not to let them outside again, but if they do sneak out, its not a big drama as they usually come back before 8pm or be lying on the outdoor chairs.
