480 acres isolated property. 9 km all weather dirt road access to property. 2 room self contained cabin and a new 2 bedroom farm house. Property runs on tank water and 100% off grid solar. 30km to nearest town Ashford which provides a service station, Post Office, take-away shop, local swimming pool, pharmacy, bowling club and golf course. Local doctor, Police, Ambulance and Rural Fire Service also service Ashford. It is 86km to nearest town Inverell, which provides supermarket, cafes and other shopping requirements.
On our property we run 200-300 head of livestock - goats and sheep. We have 10-15 bee hives, chickens & guinea fowl, 4 alpacas, 5 Kelpie working dogs and 1 Maremma dog that stays out in the paddock with the livestock. Depending on what time of year we would be away would require exactly what animals would need looking after.
Fishing, children's playground, swimming pool, golf and lawn bowls are available in the town of Ashford. It is also a 1hr drive to Pindari Dam and approx. 2hr drive to Copeton Dam Inverell. These are both ideal fishing and boating spots.
