Hello dear pet/house sitters
I am hoping to enlist the assistance of somebody who is a conscientious, reliable, responsible, honest,
We live in a small, reasonably new, light and bright, bit quirky, bit boho, sunny cottage in a residential park which also caters to tourists. There is a tropical, lush fenced and gated area with two swimming pools and a hot spa within the park. I’m about a 23 minute walk/4-5 minute drive to Avoca Beach village with its restaurants, chemist, small supermarket, newsagent, gift shops etc etc. We have an historic picture theatre in Avoca which doubles as a great gift shop in its cosy foyer. Of course the beach is a noted, sought after tourist destination known for its wonderful surf. There are tennis courts in the village and paddle boats for hire on the lake.
I have a devoted 12yo Cavoodle, (who sleeps on my bed beside me) Genevieve, and two loving Burmese cats, 14yo Jonathan and 1 yo Alice.They are all my fur kids. Their care in my absence is my number one concern. The person who is placed on this assignment must be committed to being here during this period. By this I mean really live here, day and night; not disappear every day, or evening. My dog is not the type of dog to be left indefinitely. She’s fine for 2-3 hours but she’d be miserable without you for any longer. It’s very quiet most of the time around our little home. My north facing, private front verandah gets the sun all day long. It’s screened by a rambunctious pandorea vine. It’s great out there for reading your book, working on your laptop, just hanging out. The home is easy to warm up or cool down with the air con. My living room is made for lounging comfortably. Although small, it’s a comfortable home with plenty of places to sit and relax. In this 10 days/9 nights sit depending on weather, you’d need to water my very small garden probably twice. I have a shared Netflix connection which seems to work perfectly.
We are not permitted fences in this park so Genevieve needs little bathroom break walks a few times a day with a good longish walk towards the end of the day. She uses puppy training pads overnight. She has dinner within an hour or so of returning from the late afternoon walk. I will prepare her meals and freeze them. My cats are very easy care. They’re all very loving, friendly pets.
