About this house sitting position in Baldivis

We are currently seeking someone to look after our beloved dog Malik and his puppy brother Mocha.

We live in a very low maintenance 3x2 home in Baldivis, close to shops. The house is well air conditioned, has decent internet speeds, and we have a spare bedroom available for the sitter. Due to the sleeping arrangement and the space available, we would prefer a single person for this house sit.

Malik is our adult Siberian Husky. He is very well behaved, gentle, independent, and lives indoors with his own doggy door, allowing him to access the house and backyard when he needs to. He is usually happy lazing around the house and relaxing, but he does enjoy some physical activity during the cooler times of the day.

Malik will need one walk per day. He gets very excited when it is time for his walk, especially when you try to put his harness on. He may run around and try to avoid the harness, so you may need to gently guide or chase him into a corner so the harness can be put on safely. Once his harness is on, he enjoys his walk and settles well afterwards.

Mocha is Malik’s puppy brother and is still quite young, around 4 months old. He is playful, curious, cheeky, and still learning his routine, so he will be a little more attention demanding. We would prefer someone with experience caring for puppies, or someone who is patient and comfortable with young dogs.

Mocha has recently had his second vaccination, so he is not allowed to be taken outside the property for walks yet until he has had his third vaccination. He can spend time at the front of the house only if the gate is locked and he is supervised, but he must not be taken outside the property or walked in public areas. He also recently had a leg injury, so we are being careful with his activity and making sure he does not overdo things while he continues recovering.

We are looking for someone who will take good care of Malik, Mocha, and our home, and who is happy to keep us in the loop while we are away.

Our ideal sitter would be calm, responsible, experienced with dogs, comfortable with puppies, and happy to stay overnight in our spare bedroom.
