About this house sitting position in Beechworth

A farmhouse near Beechworth in a quiet country setting.
We are semi-retired farmers looking to get away for short breaks during the year 2026. It is a small farm running small steers.
Our home is of weatherboard construction and is comfortable, but without the bells and whistles of a newer house, it is a country house in a nice country setting.
It has a split system aircon, wood heater, an electric HWS and is in a very quiet location in the country with no near neighbours.
There are outstanding views to the west from the front verandah and nearby lookouts.
Situated in the picturesque North east of Victoria, the farm is ideally located to explore the many attractions in the larger area. Historic towns, wineries, bike paths, National parks, mountain drives, bushwalking and all sports are catered for in the general area.
House sitting duties include having a presence around the house and keeping an eye on the livestock, looking after our two little jack Russell terriers, feeding the poultry and maintaining the gardens and greenhouse. There is no farm work required.
Our little Jack Russells are outside dogs and do not require walking. 2 Chooks are easy care and live in their pens.
We do however require excellent references and a current police check.
A Mindahome agreement is a requirement.

We enjoyed taking care of the puppies, Junior and Maggie who kept us well entertained also the chicken and peacocks. We were given and left with clear written instructions to keep the animals in their routines and the property safe. Vicki and Steve were exactly what we had hoped for in a sitter. They followed the routine and instructions well, ie: looked after the puppies, garden and kept animals well watered during the heat and a presence at our home. The pups were happy when we came home, our home was very clean and everything was well cared for. We would happily recommend them to any home owner looking for 2 great sitters.
