About this house sitting position in Belgrave Heights

Our home in Belgrave Heights is our escape in the hills. Located on 1/2 acre and surrounded by trees, the kookaburras laughing, the birds tweeting, hand feeding the king parrots, and taking in the fresh air, this space has it all. It has a wrap around verandah which runs the length of the home, complete with egg chairs for lazy reading sessions outside.

We are located near Belgrave Main Street, Birdsland Reserve, Belgrave Lake Park, and the tourist attraction of Puffing Billy. With more spots like 1000 steps, Sherbrooke Falls, and little towns like Olinda / Sassafras close by too.

We are needing somebody to housesit for us while we take a family holiday for 3 weeks from 30th December 2026 until 19th January 2027.

Our requirements: While we are gone our home is your home, however we have some animals that will need to be cared for during your stay. We have 2 female older cats (Ruby...who LOVES people and will not stop nagging you for cuddles haha) and (Bergs who is a great movie buddy). Our cats need to be fed their wet food once a day, with their dry food and water kept topped up. There is 2 litter boxes in the second bathroom which will need to be changed over approx. 2-3 times while we are away. To be completely transparent, as they are older cats they can often have toilet (poo/wee) accidents on the floor (not getting it in the litter tray), which will need to be cleaned up. Also Ruby requires medicine once a day, which can just be squirted into her wet food (there is no need to give it to her orally). Obviously all food, medicine and litter is provided for the animals.

We also have a fish named Bolognese who will need a sprinkle of fish food every day / second day. Lastly we have 3 young quails which will be living in a hutch in the backyard. They don't require much attention, other than giving them fresh water / food pallets 1-2 times a week. You won't need to clean the hutch at all as this is done monthly and will be done before we leave and when we return. You are welcome to collect and enjoy the quail eggs.

We have internet, and smart TV (with multiple different streaming platforms), ducted heating and cooling, gas fireplace, dishwasher, washer and dryer.

We are hoping to find somebody who will enjoy all the hills have to offer while keeping our home and animals loved and cared for while we are off making memories. Read more...
