About this house sitting position in Bergalia

Looking for an experienced dog, plant & house sitter for approximately 2 weeks in February 2025. Dates currently approx. We are located on a tranquil two hectares on the NSW far south coast near the Congo/Bingie beaches, 12 km from Moruya. This is the perfect housesit for someone who wants to read, write, paint or commune with nature. We have recorded over 85 spp of birds on our property.

Truffle is a 5 yo Golden Retriever. She is an indoor dog and easy care girl at home but does like company. So I am after a house sitter who is genuinely happy to/wants to be home most of the day (eg do not leave her from more than 4 hours/half day) and always home at night. Truffle goes to doggy day care (8am-4pm) 2 X a week so those are perfect days to go off venturing. She is a great traveller, and there are dog friendly cafes/destinations/beaches nearby for extra outings and exercise.

Ideally our house sitter would be experienced with rural life because we have cattle and horses next door, wildlife, insects, a dam, water pumps, etc- all the joys of country life! I also have 9 chickens (easy care), a very large vegetable garden, a glasshouse & covered plant houses X 2. If the weather is kind (eg it has rained) watering requirements will be moderate to modest and will include checking of the irrigation watering system.

For this house sit there are two options for accommodation. One is our new, large strawbale house which is still undergoing some fitting out (pictures on request) OR our little cottage next to the house (pictured). The cottage would be the most straightforward and it can accommodate 1 person or a couple, is super homely and completely fitted out, snug but light and you do not need to worry about muddy pawprints (concrete floor with floor rugs) and can make it your own space.
