About this house sitting position in Bingara

Come and visit the 'Gem of the Gwydir' at the perfect time of the year - autumn! Lovely fire to keep you cosy on those chilly nights, and air con if needed for any remaining hot days.

I have a lovely little house on 1.5 acres situated on the outskirts of town not far from the river common and with the most fabulous sunset viewing deck imaginable.

The house needs minding, but more importantly, so do my dog, chickens and the garden, which is primarily food and natives. The dog is still a pup (11months by then) and highly energetic. While good at self entertainment, she will need outings and walks. There will likely be watering needed but I will provide comprehensive instructions and some areas are automated. There are great features to explore in the area at this truly beautiful time of year.

Had a great time exploring the area, fossicking, and meeting some of the friendly locals. A bonus having the vege garden to look after and pick from for nibblies and meals. I couldn’t recommend Barbara and Cristina highly enough. They looked after my home and garden as if it were their own, had great communication and added many a special thoughtful touch - folded washing done, flowers from the garden in the kitchen, firewood and kindling prepared for my return. I would love to have them back any time.

“Thoroughly enjoyed, house sit for Ali at Bingara. Beautiful, comfortable home. Watched many sunrises & sunsets. Was amazed with her gardens, & nibbled on fresh vegetables & fruit, especially mulberries. Pirate, was fine with the cheeky chooks, one jump on his back, gave him a little shock. Visited surrounding towns, explored the river, got my van stuck in river stones. (New experience) Friendly, kind locals willing to help out. Great people, friendly town, excellent bakery. Would recommend Ali's house, town & area for other's to visit. I am late with my review, but thankyou, Ali for your words & privilege to meet up & stay”

“Caring for Jet, the dog, and Arty, the rescue lorikeet, was a pleasure. Jet and I enjoyed leisurely short walks, morning and evening, around the local area through the parks. At the end of the street is a nature reserve with a paved track for easy walking whilst watching the wild birds. Jet was a very willing recipient of massages and was abundant with affection. Arty is a character who loves kisses, chats and dancing and kept me entertained with her antics. It is an easy walk to the CBD area with all the usual shops and services. I enjoyed a drive along the beach road with the Lighthouse Beach viewed from the lookout a spectacular highlight. Recommend a stay at Ali, Arty and Jet's home for other potential housesitters.”
