We require a solo house sitter (non-smoker) to take care of our home and beloved Cat named Lippy. We'll be away from Jan 22nd to Feb 2nd 2026. We want somebody who is comfortable & confident with outdoor cats, someone who is respectful, honest and caring in nature. You would also have to enjoy looking after a cat who meows quite frequently & believes he needs a feed at any given time day or night haha.. this is definitely not true, but he will test you to see who's in charge!

Lippy has his breakfast fairly early in the morning - this could be as early as 4 or 5 am. He can be a pain, meowing up a storm and scratching on doors or windows to get your attention. We have a tested game plan that does work if followed, to reduce the possible disruptions to your sleep.

He also takes an easy to give medication thru a syringe. This needs to be given 1 hour prior to breakfast and dinner each day.

We require a sitter who is familiar with outdoor cat behaviours and someone who would be home from 530pm onwards to feed him dinner and keep him company. If you are a home body, that would be an added bonus!

We do our best to keep him in during the night, but he is generally out at night and back by early morning to snooze all day. He users a cat flap and sometimes brings in little lizards and on the odd occasion he's brought in a field mouse, this isn't a frequent occurrence but just giving you the heads up! There is also a way to keep the cat flap shut at night if you would prefer. We usually do this if he tries to bring something inside, but haven't had to for a few months plus.

Light household duties like vacuuming and mopping once a week would be appreciated, but just generally keeping the house in a secure and tidy state would be absolutely necessary.
