About this house sitting position in Blessington

Our beautiful two-bedroom home sits on a 200 acre bush block only half an hour from Launceston, yet it feels like a real retreat far away from the hustle and bustle of civilisation.
It makes a beautiful home for our Finnish Lapphund Tia, our indoor cat Persia and a flock of friendly Dorper sheep.
The house has all the comforts with open plan living, a large kitchen and pantry, induction stove/electric oven, dishwasher, fireplace in the lounge, a study with work space and beautiful views in all directions.
Outside, we have a large south facing deck with great views, a sunny north facing alfresco area with shaded seating and a veggie garden/orchard. We also have a dam that is beautiful to swim in during summer with a jetty and ladder for easy access.
If you like walks, this place is for you: It's a half hour walk to the top of the hill through a valley featuring beautiful grasslands and dry sclerophyll forest, past three more dams. From the top you can soak in vast views over the Great Western Tiers. Or take the adventurous 1.5 - 2 hour circumnavigation of the property through bush and grassland.
The closest supermarket is about 20 minutes drive and it's 30 minutes drive into Launceston city centre.
Ben Lomond National Park is a 30 minute drive away and well worth a visit. The new ski resort is amazing and well worth checking out for snow enthusiasts during the winter months..
The quaint historic town of Evandale and the airport are both about 20-25 minutes drive away.

We'd love to hear from you if you are:
- Physically fit (stairs to bedroom, dog walks)
- Reasonably handy in the unlikely case any maintenance issues come up
- Clean and tidy
- Mature and responsible
- A nature and animal lover

What we require you to do:
- Take our dog Tia for walks, look after her and enjoy her company as much as she enjoys human company.
- Look after our cat Persia who is very shy, could be hiding most of the time and might not offer much affection - until she does. With a bit of patience she has previously warmed up to a gentle, predictable and caring persons.
- The sheep are pretty much self-sufficient, but it's good to keep an eye on them and make sure they're all happy and well. Topping up their water source will be required during summer months.
- The house is on rainwater so we ask sitters to be water-wise. Short showers, no baths etc. in summer.
- During winter, heating of the house is through a fireplace. There's fire wood stacked close to the house, so you don't need to chop any, but we do ask that you don't treat this hard worked for resource wastefully.
- Look after the place as if it was your own and treat it with all the love and respect that we do.
- Despite its size, during your stay the property itself is very easy maintenance.
