About this house sitting position in Bolwarra Heights

Unfortunately, our house-sitter who we had booked through Mindahome, has just cancelled and let us down. The house-sit is based in the beautiful Hunter Valley, just outside Maitland.

We need someone from 24 August 2026 until 18 October 2026 or even part of this would be very helpful. The main task is to look after our one elderly hen. Her coop has an automatic door which opens in the morning and closes at night. She will spend the day in her secure enclosure and return to the coop at dusk. You would just need to replenish food and water and clean out the coop every couple of weeks.

Other tasks include mowing (we have a zero-turn mower); watering; looking after the house.

Our home is modern, one storey with no steps. Our driveway is large and would accommodate a motor home or caravan.

You will need to be a non-smoker, have some common sense and take your responsibilities seriously. Our house and yard aren’t suitable for any pets/animals.
