About this house sitting position in BRIGHT

We are seeking a single or couple for a unique blend of house sharing and pet sitting - this will best suit an easy going, responsible and independent personality.

Maggie - the 6 year old Kelpie is a loving dog, who needs a daily walk and someone to be home at night. She is used to us being out during the day for work, so you'll have plenty of time to explore our area during the day. She isn't good with kids, and can be aloof/assertive until she gets to know you. Hence this job will require someone experienced with dogs, and isn't suitable for a family.
We also have chickens who will require minimal daily care - and will provide yummy eggs for you to eat (when the weather warms up a bit).

We are a kind, busy and active family, who have jobs at Mount Hotham; our Winter obligations and lifestyle means that most nights of the week, we stay on mountain, with 1 or 2 nights off the mountain to wash clothes, buy food and fulfil other commitments.
We hope to find a reliable house-sitter who will see the situation as win-win, and doesn't mind being left alone to look after things, but is equally ok with sharing the space with us on a very part-time basis. Because we won't be living far away and have friends, family and neighbours who can help with the dog - we are open to any dates within the months I have listed. Goal alignment, and care for Maggie are more important than the dates being perfectly matched.

Bright is an amazing town with lots to do.
You'll sleep in the spare bedroom, which has ample cupboard space, a lamp, bedside table and small desk. There is only one bathroom. The rest of the house is a bright, light space with a lovely garden. Quiet and relaxing, or a home base for exploring. The house has a split system, and a wood fire for winter warmth.
