About this house sitting position in Burwood
Hello!! I'm looking for someone or a couple to come stay with my dog while I'm away - he's only able to be left alone for about 4/5 hours max, due to isolation anxiety and having no doggie door for toilet trips. That's about the extent that he can 'hold on'.
Somebody mindful who intends to spend most of their time at home (working from home like I do) would be ideal for this. Leaving him while you go out for dinner or to the shops etc is absolutely fine, he settles much more if you walk, feed and toilet him before hand (provided the temp is not above 25).
I have a fast internet set up, and air conditioning in living and bedrooms. Large tv with several streaming services and hifi system you are welcome to use. I have a large computer desk with a dock and two monitors you are welcome to use for WFH or study.
Location is Burwood - about a 6 minute drive from Burwood One shopping complex, woolworths, aldi etc. and a short walk from the lovely Wattle Park. The street is very quiet except during school dropoff and pickup times where there is a little traffic at 8.30am and 3.30pm.
My dog Toohey likes one or two walks a day (normally just one), away from other dogs. He travels well in the car in his crate if you wish to travel with him, but he is not able to be left in a vehicle at all - he will be very vocal and can't handle heat above 25 degrees. He is dog-reactive so on walks, keep a very large distance between him and other dogs - he is not to go to dog parks, and is never to be off leash, or around off-leash dogs. I walk him during non popular times and just turn back around if I see a dog being walked up the same street. He weighs 22 kgs and is very strong, but really only pulls on the leash if 'reacting' to a dog or cat.
The back yard here is sunny with a huge lemon tree - hundreds of lemons that you are welcome to use. There is an older garage that small cars can park inside, or bikes.
Please note, most of the references on my listing were from when I lived in Tasmania at a different house. The spare bedroom here has a new double bed in it and hanging space for your things, and air conditioning. Also has a window to open if you wish. The kitchen is quipped with herbs and spices etc. to compliment your own cooking, with the usual appliances. The bathroom and toilet have handrails for those with mobility issues, and the toilet has an electric bidet seat (optional). It is a single level house with just one or two steps.
Thank you to anyone who might be able to help with this sit! This is the longest I have left my dog with any sitter, so references are essential. Thank you for reading, please reach out for more information about the house, the area or anything else. Read more...

Reviews for Bronwyn
Although he has a dog reactivity condition, we were able to carefully avoid other dogs whilst also enjoying walks and play.
Bronwyn had prepared everything needed whilst she was away, and had made a clear, informative, info sheet to refer to.
Very happy to care for Toohey again.
