About this house sitting position in Cashmere
Hi, we are Jean Luc & Debra. We have 3 adult Children and 8 precious Grandchildren and a Senior Dog named Casper.
We are located in the suburbs on Brisbane Northside, in a quiet cul de sac street. Our home is lowset with 4 bedrooms and an undercover outdoor space. There is air-conditioning to all bedrooms and family area in the home with reliable internet/wifi. Local bus service is at the front of the Estate (<1km) and Strathpine train station 8.2km away.
Our local IGA shopping centre is 2.1km away. It has an IGA, Doctors, Dentist and a Chemist. There is a Cafe, Bakery, Indian and Thai takeways . Our Vet is located at this shopping centre.
Slightly further away (3.2km) is Warner village shopping centre. It has both Woolworths and an Aldi supermarket and a Butchers. This centre has 2 Cafes (2 Chef and a Cupcake, Stellarossa and numerous different takeaway options (McDonalds, GYG, Subway, Brodies, Fish and Chips, Sushi Train, Pizza, Indian, Noodles and Dumplings to name a sample. There is a Hairdresser and Barber, Doctors and Chemist.
The important part of our household is our dog a 14yrs 9mth (he'll be 15 come December) male Jack Russel Terrier, Casper. Being an older gentleman, he likes to be close to his human people and tends to relax/snooze either inside or outside. He sleeps inside of a night and normally in the same room as us.
In August of last year, he was diagnosed with IVS (Idiopathic Vestibular Syndrome). I had never heard of this syndrome but is common in older dogs. I liken it to Human Vertigo. He has not had an episode at all this year.
In recent months we have noticed hearing and eyesight loss and whilst not diagnosed I would guess some dementia is starting.
Casper is currently on 3 medications. CBD oil, I squirt into his mouth twice a day morning and night, 4CYTE is added to food once a day and the other is 2 small tablets Hepatoadvanced, I hide in food first thing in the morning.
He is a lovely natured dog, who is now coming into his twightlight years. He is still excited to have a walk and usually it's home to nap. On occasion he may hitch a bit of a ride in your arms for few metres. As his enthusiasm and stamina don't always align. Read more...

Owners response
Thank you Grace for your kind words. We were so happy you were able to do our home/pet sit. We went away knowing Casper was in very capable hands. Thank you again and hopefully our paths will align again in the future.Other House Sitting positions nearby
