About this house sitting position in CHELSEA HEIGHTS

Our names are Jen and Sam. We live in a 3 bedroom + 1 bathroom with a sunny courtyard and wrap around garden. There is also a large converted garage room at the back currently set up as an office and workout space (elliptical trainer, some dumb bells, resistance bands and a boxing bag). We are a 5min drive or 30min walk to Chelsea beach, shops and train station and have a great location of local shops - cafe, Thai restaurant, Pizza, IGA, Dr and Pharmacy just a few minutes walk away as well.

We have a beautiful 18 month old black cocker spaniel named Bonnie who is our fur baby. Bonnie loves people, pats, games of tug with her toys, trips to the dog park and most of all, the beach! Bon generally gets on well with other dogs and enjoys a fun tussle when she meets other pups that are keen to play, but is also happy keeping her space if needed. Bon is used to both her Mum and Dad and her baby (human) sister being around will love every minute that you're home but is well practiced at alone time and can be by herself for up to 6 hours especially if you set up a few kibble toys and a licky mat. We would prefer a house sitter without pets as whilst Bon loves other dogs, sharing her home with one especially while her parents are away might be a bit much for her.

We are going overseas for all of March/April 2026 and would ideally like someone for the entire period, but have family who can assist if we find the right match for the majority of the time. Jen's Mum also lives close by and is happy to be in contact with whoever is house sitting and take Bon sometimes for a night/weekend if needed.

Whilst it's not a must, it would also be ideal if the person sitting has a car as whilst Bon does enjoy walks she doesn't love super long ones and being able to drive down to the beach and local dog parks would be preferred.

We would also love to arrange a meet and greet ahead of our trip with whoever we book to house sit if that is possible so we know Bonnie feels comfortable with them :) Read more...
