About this house sitting position in Clare

Looking for retired couple or single person with their own caravan/motorhome/bus.

We live on 11 acres in the township of BEAUTIFUL Clare(11 acres that is still within the 50km speed zone of Clare!) We are a short 2km walk to local shops, gyms, supermarket, wineries, coffee shops, restaurants etc. There's a local cinema at Blyth which is 15km from Clare. Our property is on the Riesling Trail which is wonderful for walking and bike riding however if you prefer bush walking you can utilize the Clare Valley Wine and Wilderness Trail. There is a bike hire shop at the bottom of our driveway. Clare is known for it's amazing wineries and restaurants....there's so many to chose from and will be lots of entertainment on the long weekend.

We have 3 minature schnauzer dogs that need some company and are very friendly. They will need to be put to bed and let out in the morning and have their coats put on/off if it is cold overnight. The person would need to be willing to take the dogs for a walk either on the Riesling Trail or through our property. They can be walked individually or two at a time. (If a couple does the house sit you could take all 3 at the same time. I usually do) Our previous house sitters preferred to take them by car to the dog park or walk them through the property.

You will need to pick up their doggy poo's off the lawn, daily. Their food and water is automatic and will need checking to ensure they have food and fresh water. (Usually only topped up once a week so likely nothing to maintain for this long weekend stay) They enjoy the occasional treat which would be supplied.

The dogs would need their beards brushed and teeth cleaned.

We also have an outdoor cat. Her food and water is automatic so she will take care of herself.

There's 7 chickens that have automatic feeders and automatic water system. Food and water will be fine for the duration of this stay. Fresh eggs can be enjoyed by the house sitter.

Lawns are watered automatically so no need for watering during this short stay.

We have a great spot for a caravan/motorhome/bus with access to power and water. Your view will be amazing! You may enjoy the back yard with out-door kitchen and use the pool as you desire.


The person applying needs to love dogs and spending time with them. Our dogs love to be with you and enjoy being with you. They are perfectly fine to be left during the day while you venture out and explore the area.

The Clare Valley is a beautiful part of the world that I'm sure you will enjoy! We have kangaroos on our property. You may even be lucky enough to see deer!

We prefer to meet you and introduce you to our furbabies and show you around before we leave. We have flexibility on when we will leave and return. The person is able to stay an extra night or two if that works best for them. Read more...
