About this house sitting position in Coburg

Hi potential sitters,

We’re looking for a sitter(s) for our dog Winston and 4 chickens at our lovely house on the merri creek in Coburg (about 10km from Melbourne City)

The house:
The house is a 2 bed, mid century semi- detached with a large home office, productive garden, deck and outdoor kitchen.
Although we’ve done some renovating, we haven’t got to parts of the house yet, including the bathroom, but everything is functional and working, just a bit old.
We have a split system, solar panels and also a wood burning fire.
The house is right on the Merri creek in a quiet and picturesque part of coburg, there’s lovely walks straight out our front door along the creek, which joins Edgar’s creek around the corner, as well as coburg lake.
We’re 10 min walk to the top of the number 1 tram and 20 mins walk to Batman train station or the number 11 tram. There’s also the bike path that goes down the Merri creek into town which is about 30 min / 10 ish km ride. We’re also 10 min walk from pentridge shopping centre which has an IGA, cinema and some cafes as well as being 15 min walk to coburg hill which has a Woolies. Also about 15 min walk to central coburg.

Winston:
Our dog Winston, is a 7 year old beaglier x pug, we joke that makes him equal parts naughty, nice and stupid. He is a great little dog, loves a cuddle on the couch. He sleeps on the couch but jumps on the bed early morning. We walk him twice a day, which wears him out and he sleeps for the rest of the time. He loves the ball. He can be a bit mischievous when off lead; rabbits, food or dead animals are usually the draw card, so ideally would like someone that is going to be able to handle this or can do lead walks. He’s good in the car and happy to go different places if you want to take him anywhere. He’s fine to be left for part of the day, but isn’t used to being alone all day. If he needed to be alone all day while you were sitting, a big walk in the morning will see him through.

We definitely need someone for NYE, but if you wanted longer we are flexible with dates to start 29th as we’re heading camping for a few days. Read more...
