Hi, I’m Tash, a 54-year-old counsellor, and my husband is a 58-year-old IT consultant. We live in a peaceful, private home with our much-loved 3-year-old Cavalier King Charles, Loopy. She is affectionate, gentle, and true to her breed—she loves being close to people and will happily follow you around for company. Loopy does experience some separation anxiety, so she thrives with someone home most of the time. Due to a chronic sore hip, her exercise needs are minimal—just a gentle 30-minute walk every second day (or shorter daily walks).

We’re also proud parents of two sons in their early 20s—a primary school teacher and a musician—who now live in Sydney.

Our home is a two-storey property, with the upstairs space (three bedrooms and a beautiful deck overlooking Coramba Hill) available for you. We have a guest bedroom and ensuite for you. The downstairs area is a fully self-contained unit where my elderly parents live. They are very kind and helpful, especially with Loopy during the day if you’re out exploring, but prefer not to be responsible for her overnight. We’d appreciate someone who is happy to say a friendly hello to them from time to time.

The property feels like a private retreat, with regular visits from wallabies and abundant birdlife, despite being on a suburban block. We’re conveniently located just 5 minutes from town, 12 minutes from the beach, 10 minutes to the shopping centre and golf club and 15 minutes from a lovely river for swimming.

We’re looking for a house sitter who:

Can provide companionship for Loopy

Is house-proud and happy to keep things tidy, including occasional lawn mowing

Is friendly and respectful toward our parents

We are planning a 5-week holiday to Europe, flying with Emirates via Dubai. Due to current global uncertainties, our dates may shift slightly, and we appreciate your flexibility with this.
